7 Days Until Christmas

Day 18 of Advent: Go visit Auntie Sarah, Uncle Chris, and Katie and see a puppet show
We love spending time with our eastside friends and throwing a puppet show into the mix really put this day over the top. The kids got to see the Gingerbread Boy put on the a puppet theater group on the eastside.  It was really fun and both the kids really enjoyed it.  (Although I have to say, I was a little disturbed that the Gingerbread boy did get eaten without any fanfare or anything, just down the hatch, GULP, move onto the next song.  And there was so much talk by the Candy Cane lady about not wanting harm to befall anyone, even naughty gingerbread boys.  They really set us up for some sort of redemptive moment.  But no, gummy gator ate him and then they went back to the shop and made a new one using the old recipe, not so much spice.  Disturbing.   But surprisingly, even Mr. Senstive Boy didn't even seem to mind. But I digress.)

Anyhow, the kids loved spending time with Katie and Auntie Sarah and Uncle Chris. (And Will and Uncle Chris loved the fact that they were permitted to go to a brewery instead of the puppet show and meet up with us after. ) Thai food for dinner too.  Another lovely evening!
Marshall, Josie, and Katie sitting on the floor with the kids (briefly)  I did miss the moment when we told Katie to go sit with Josie and Josie immediately put her arm around her.  Precious.

 Checking out the puppets afterward
