Mornings

Every morning after breakfast, Marshall asks "Can we have play pen treasure hunt time?" (Normally he makes a "play pen" out of pillows and blankets and then gives himself clues to help him find the treasures he has hidden.  Josie get to play too.)

And every morning some fabulous play ensues (that normally involves the couch pillows being arranged somewhere other than the couch).

This morning, this is what I got.

RIPPPPPPP!
Josie, why did you tear the dollie page out of the catalog?
Cuz I cutting coupons.

(Then she asked for scissors.....and if you give a girl some scissors, she's going to want a pink sequin headband to go with it.)

Cutting coupons (Frugal Fabulous)
Mom, I need your help with my house.  I can't get the walls to stay up.

Mom, it fell down because you didn't put the roof on right.
(Silly me, back to construction school.)

Baby's...er....Big Girl's First Haircut

Seriously?  She's nearly 2 and a half.  Poor hairless girl.  And I didn't really want to cut it at all.  It took her so long to get hair, why cut it off?  But there were two factors that played into my decision,
1) Unless she wanted to spend this Halloween looking more like Carol Brady than a chicken, the longer back hair mullet look had to go.
2) She had a runny nose and the hair falling in her face kept getting really really gross.
So off to the hairdresser we went!

Josie was actually super excited and sat really really still for the hairdresser.

Voila! Cute bob.  And afterward if you asked her what her haircut looked like she said, "Beautiful.  I am beautiful like a princess."  Got to love a girl with a nice healthy self esteem.
(And on a side note, look at how adorable Marshall was.  He was so excited for his little sister and took lots of pictures with my camera.)
And not to be outdone, M had me take pictures of his haircut too.
And then despite Marshall telling the hairdresser that you are supposed to get lollypops after you get your haircut, they were thrilled with balloons.

And yes, Josie is wearing her ballet skirt over her clothing.  Who am I to squelch fabulous-ness?
