It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood....

We made a trip to Target yesterday. This was a big outing for us. Simple errands require a lot more logisitics with two children. Anyway, there is nothing better than your child breaking into song in a store. Especially when it's a really really cute song....I'm picking out new shorts for Marsh when I hear "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor....won't you be mine? won't you be mine?" coming from the cart. It got better after we purchased the plastic microphone that creates an echo. (I highly recommend this product for adults and children....hours of amusement.)

Rockin out on his microphone

Josie proceeded to scream all the way home putting a bit of a damper on the Target experience. I could have predicted that though. This girl doesn't really like her carseat....or any other device that allows you to put her down. The differences between children are quite astounding. Marshall always liked his space. Josie never wants to be out of my arms. I love holding her, but this makes it difficult to do much throughout the day. Consequently she's in the wrap a lot. Will's theory is that she is a little more clingy because she was 3 weeks early. I can buy that. I know that I am definitely going to miss these times a year from now when she will refuse to cuddle. :)

In other news, the other night she slept for six consecutive hours . Unfortunately it was from 8-2. Now, while it is not unheard of for me to go to bed at 8, I would rather not do that all the time. We'll work on moving that back a little.

How cute is this girl? Those are capri jeans by the way.

TUMMY TIME!

"It's your turn Josie! Sing!"

Just a little something for my free time....

Hello Friends and Family,

This seems like such a good idea. I hope to keep it updated so that you can see how Josie and Marshall are growing. Plus Marshall says the most hilarious things lately and they just need to be shared. Like this morning, we were reading a book together while Josie was napping and my stomach rumbled. And Marshall said, "Mom, you farted? Did you fart on Josie?" And this is when I realized that we are about to enter the "embarrass my parents in public" phase of Marshall's childhood. This is also the time I realized why people call farts cute names for their children. Sigh.....

love,
Chrissy
